STUDIO POLICIES

Your Health Matters
Should you feel ill, have a cold, the flu or an infection, all clients are required to reschedule any services. For the sake of everyone's health, please do not expose others and reschedule your appointment.

A Credit Card is Needed
Credit Card information is required in order to reserve/schedule any services.

Deposits
A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE booking fee is required in order to book and confirm ALL initial cosmetic tattoo appointments. Your deposit signifies your commitment to your appointment and protects the artists time. Your booking fee will go towards the total cost of the service you have booked for. The deposit is non-refundable. If you ultimately decide to cancel your appointment, your deposit will be lost.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy
Our cancellation/reschedule policies exist to ensure that our artists are compensated for the time they have set aside and reserved JUST FOR YOU. Therefore, if you need to CANCEL or RESCHEDULE your appointment, we require a 48-HOUR NOTICE for ALL services. 

In the event of a CANCELLATION or RESCHEDULE of less than 48 hours your credit card will be charged 50% of the service or your deposit will go towards paying for the artist’s time that had been reserved for you. This policy is strictly enforced and is in place to protect our artists income. When we receive short notices like this, we are not able to fill the appointment slot and therefore the artist who reserved time for you is now no longer able to take another client. 

Clients who reschedule within 48 hours will be required to pay a new booking fee to secure a new appointment. 

It is your responsibility to plan your appointments accordingly. 

You may reschedule your Cosmetic Tattoo appointment ONE time before the deposit will be forfeited. You must reschedule your cosmetic tattoo appointment within 3 months from the original date or you risk forfeiting your deposit and you will have to start over.

As a courtesy and when you provide the appropriate communication options, we give you a reminder call, text message and/or email to confirm your appointment.

No Shows & Same Day Cancellations
Remembering and respecting the appointment time is your responsibility. Clients who do not show up for an appointment will be charged 100% of the services and required to pay the entire balance of the service in order to book again. Failure to show to your appointment may also result in being restricted from booking a future appointment indefinitely. All services are subject to increase in price at any time. You will pay accordingly to the amount the procedure is when booked.

Clients who cancel the same day, will forfeit their deposit and will be charged 100% of the service. A new deposit will be required for cosmetic tattoo services prior to booking a new appointment. Failure to pay these fees will result in your account being restricted until we receive the total balance owed and you will be unable to book a new appointment with us.

Arriving late
We understand that things can happen but unfortunately, our artists are not able to double book appointments. If you are going to be late or cannot make your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible via phone.

Tardiness limits the amount of focus each artist has to perform the service at its highest standard. Though we will make every effort to accommodate our guests at their full appointment time, it may not always be possible. Our artists, as well as their stations, are often booked for another service immediately after your appointment.

For Cosmetic Tattoo Appointments, you may also be required to rebook and pay a new deposit if you wish to continue with your procedure after arriving late or providing a short notice cancellation.

Right to Procedure Refusal
We reserve the right to refuse performing any services. If we feel that you are too indecisive, impulsive about your tattoo, or we deem you as unfit, the procedure will be canceled.  Another deposit fee will be required if you would like to book again. 

Age Requirement
Per Texas Law, you must be 18 years or older to receive a cosmetic tattoo.

Clients between 10-17 must be accompanied by an adult to sign and provide written permission for all non-cosmetic tattoo services. Clients under 16 must have a parent or guardian present at all times.

Children & Bringing Guests
Children are not permitted in the studio due to Health Department Laws. We love that you want to invite your family & friends, but please remember the intimate nature of our studio and understand that bringing children and guests is strongly discouraged. Due to our limited space and out of respect for our other guests and artists, we ask that you respect this policy.

Artist becomes Ill
In the event your artist should become ill the day of your appointment, we will make every effort to provide your service by moving your appointment to the next available day. 

Prices Subject to Change
We are regularly updating and expanding our services and strive to keep our website and menu prices updated. Please be advised that prices and services are subject to change without notice. 

New Clients w/Previous Cosmetic Tattoo work
If you have previous tattoo work in the area you are interested in having tattooed at our studio, PLEASE email info@hervelvethand.com a clear photo of your brows/lips/scalp and schedule a in-person consultation by calling or emailing the studio. You MUST get an approval BEFORE booking an appointment. If you fail to do so, we will refuse service and your deposit will be forfeited because not all previous tattoo work from other artists can be fixed or covered.

New Guests
All new guests investing in cosmetic tattoo services with Her Velvet Hand will be considered as a new set, even with previous tattoo work. Please book accordingly. 

Touchups
Are not included and will be a separate fee that ranges depending on how long after the last session is booked. Second session prices are valid 8-12 weeks after your first session only. Additional charges will apply if you book beyond this frame. 

All touch ups, including Refresher appointments must be booked in person or via email at info@hervelvethand.com

*Please note that touch up prices are for regular guests that have already had their first procedures with one of our artists.

Consultations
Consultations are a great way to discuss in-person your cosmetic tattoo goals. During the first 30 minutes to an hour of any initial cosmetic tattoo session- your artist will thoroughly consult with you about your goals. However, if you would like to schedule a prior consultation to understand your goals, this will help both you and your artist determine which solution is right for you. A consultation is $50 and will be applied to the cost of your procedure. Should you decide not to move forward, the consultation fee is not refundable.

Results
Realistic expectations are a priority here at Her Velvet Hand.  Additional touch ups may be required to achieve desired results- because there are so many variables to cosmetic tattoos and healing that we cannot control. While we typically have beautiful results and happy guests, we cannot guarantee this procedure totally replaces your makeup or can be completed after 2 sessions. We also cannot guarantee how long this will last on you. Please read all our info section prior to booking. All services provided are non- refundable. 

Your results are extremely dependent on how one heals and will vary with each individual guest such as: skin, blood type, lifestyle, existing hair, bone structure, any medications taken and aftercare. Specific results or color requests for tattoos are not guaranteed (especially on those with dark or cool-toned lips, problematic skin or when covering up an old tattoo.) Everyone heals and accepts the pigment differently. We provide the same service for every client but retention is dependent on your skin and lifestyle
